WinRAR is a 32-bit Windows version of RAR Archiver, the powerful archiver and archive manager. RAR files can usually compress content 8 to 30 percent more than ZIP files. WinRAR's main features are very strong general and multimedia compression, processing of non-RAR archives, intuitive wizard for novice users, long filename support, programmable self-extracting archives (SFX), damaged archive repair, support for parity volumes and missing volume replacement, authenticity verification, embedded file comments, and industry standard encryption using 128-bit keys. Version 3.10 features "Convert" and "Find" commands. Other additions include unpacking of multipart ZIP archives, "Flat folders view" mode, single step processing of tar.gz and tar.bz2 formats, improved interface in self-extracting archives.
